Now for some fun questions!

Q:  How did you choose your name?
A:  After much debate we decided to name our website after our original business which is a booth at our local Saturday Morning Market that sells unique gifts and home decor products with souvenir postcard images and collectible vintage crate labels printed on them.  Soooo - is was christened POSTCARDBOOTH.   In the spirit of keeping it simple, we named this website
POSTCARDBOOTH.COM.

Q: How did you collect so many postcards?
A: Sam is the collector of the operation.  He began with internet searches, usually ending up on e-bay where there is a treasure trove of original vintage postcards.  In searching for the postcards, he also fell for the beauty and detail of vintage crate labels and cigar labels and started collecting those also.

Q:  How many souvenir postcard and vintage crate/cigar labels do you currently have?
A:  Sam admits to having approximately 500 images, more or less, but Bonnie suspects the real total is much higher!

Q:  What is dye-sublimation priting?
A:  Dye-sublimation is a print process that transfers digital images onto blank products.  The process starts using dye-sub ink printed onto specialized paper in a mirror image.  This print is then placed onto the blank product (mousepad, license plate, etc.).  The blank, also called the substrate, is coated with a polymer product which accepts the dye-ink.  Heat is then applied using a heat press.  The heat causes the dye-ink to vaporize and the vaporized ink permeates the polymer coating becoming a permanent part of the substrate surface.
